Spring training ride to the top of Hartside – 5 long miles mostly into the wind – Apple Strudel and Coconut Bars at the top!

Top section spent fighting the wind at a 30 degree angle.

Bring on The Alpe!

The clock now seems to be ticking faster than ever.

Cairn O’Mount has been offering a mixture of still hot air at the bottom and howling winds as you round towards the carpark at the top.

Still crap at climbing but confidence is high.

100 days: The pain starts here!

Clock is ticking and showing 100 days to the ascent of The Alpe. More hill training is required by me so that I can keep up with the young lad!!

Baseline run up the Cairn O’Mount yesterday marks the start of some serious hill training!
